Seems the navigation system in Jaguar Land Rover vehicles does not like the Orlando area. The system, powered by HERE Technologies, sent me off course not once, but twice.

The first time was when I was taking the family to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas—Kidani Village. After getting off the interstate, it had taken me 10 miles in the wrong direction before I suspected something was off. Once I switched to Android Auto and Google Maps, I confirmed my suspicion and turned around.

The second time was during this same trip. It was Christmas Eve morning, and I went to get us some Chick-fil-A nearby. Well, this time, the Jaguar’s native navigation tried taking me down a road that had been closed for some time. Once again, I called on trusty Google Maps and got our chicken biscuits.

I have not used the JLR/HERE navigation since.
